My little guy

Loves Sonic!
When I'm out running around, if I'm near a Sonic during Happy Hour, I can't pass up a drink. Lane got his first taste of Sonic when my parents were here earlier this summer.
Now we're to the point, if I don't get him a water of his very own, I hear about it - in a loud, angry sort of way.
So I get him one, and this is what I get to look back at. Isn't he too cute with his drink. My only problem is...
Murphy. She prefers Whataburger over Sonic.

Yay Clint!

Clint took the whole family on an adventure last night! We went to hear the Austin Symphony Orchestra on the Long Center lawn last night. We had so much fun.
We took a picnic dinner. Even Murph got to take her dinner along.
Lane had quesadilla's again...
And to prove that's not all I ever give him I took a picture of him eating his favorite veggies, peas and carrots.
After we were all finished with dinner Lane had fun carrying Murphy's water bowl around.
What an adorable face!
Lane is obsessed with Lights. He found these and couldn't get enough!
Thanks for a super fun night Clint!

We've discovered

... the perfect ballpark food.
Lane and I are still enjoying going to baseball games. It's hard to believe the season in almost over. It only took us 4 months to discover that a quesadilla is the perfect meal for Lane to take to the games. He is one happy dude!

God's Country

At least that's what my P's call it. I don't completely agree with them, considering I moved to Texas to get away from the cold winters and crazy tornado's. But, I must say we love to visit to the Okies we love! We got to stay for nearly two weeks and had a great time!
On our first night in OK we had dinner at my Sister and Bro in law's in Tulsa. Lane loved their rock fountain by the front door. He could have played on that rock all night!
The next morning my Mom pulled out some old things that were in a trunk that I "inherited". Meaning, my P's didn't have a place for it anymore so I'm the lucky one that got it. Anyway, we found an old tu-tu I had, and I had to try it on Lane. Looks like he did not enjoy it!
On a happier note, he did love the old rocking chair I had when I was a little girl. He rocked and rocked in it.
We discovered Oklahoma has shopping charts with steering wheels in the front. Lane did not let go of that wheel the whole time we shopped.
He feel in love with Porter peaches. Yum!
One evening Sarah and Tyler (sis and b-i-l) came for dinner. We had delicious ribs my Dad smoked all day.
Lane was one happy dude
covered in barbecue sauce.
Lane got to experience an afternoon nap out in a hammock. We put him in it and he was out.
We also went to Kiddie Park. It's an amusement park for kids that I grew up going to. We were all so excited to go, Lane's big Sis Rylee and her family even joined us to make an event of it.
Rylee and Lane got to sit together on some of the rides and Lane did great having his big sis with him.
He checked out himself as a cone head.
Rode the carousel with Rylee and her Mom, and Grammy. And had a fit on the last ride of the night. The spinning swings were not for him!
Lane loved being in OK to hang out with Grammy, Grampy and their besties, Nina Ruth and Pa Pa Bob.
Grammy and Grampy got Lane a sprinkler to play in. He decided keeping his distance was best.
One day we drove to Kansas to see Lane's Great Grandma. Aren't they cute together!
We all went to lunch and Lane provided the entertainment. He showed off his eating ice off the table trick.
We celebrated Grampy's birthday with a family dinner.
Lane got tons of attention from Grammy and Nina Ruth
and Aunt Sarah and Uncle Tyler.

We had so much fun we hated to leave, thanks for everything Okies, we love you!!!

Cones, Teeth, & Mics

Lane has officially become a boy! He got to hold and eat his very own ice cream cone all by himself! He had the best time. He is still learning that you hold the cone up instead of down, but besides being covered in sticky ice cream he did great.
The big moment, Lane couldn't believe his good fortune. An ice cream cone of his very own sitting in front of him!
The upside down attack of the cone. Lane really likes the cone better than the ice cream, so maybe he kept turning the cone upside down to get the ice cream out. Smart guy!

Trying to look casual. He's thinking, yeah I eat these by myself all the time.

In hog heaven!
Later that night we went to see Dad up in the control room at the game. Lane helped Dad out on the mic.
In other exciting news, Lane has 2 new teeth! I've been watching for his top molars, the Dr. said they would be next, but low and behold - he has the a new tooth on each side of the molars I've been watching for. It does look like his molars are starting to come in too. As usual, Lane continues to surprise me!

Sweets for my sweet

I was eating a piece of chocolate cake the other day and I felt bad eating it in front of Lane. I gave him a little taste.
He ate a few bites and I thought he liked it.
But then he started throwing it on the floor for Murphy. Turns out, he's not a big chocolate fan.
That night after dinner, I gave Lane some mixed berries.
I'm pretty sure he loves them! He asked for more two or three times. He looks like a little vampire in this picture.
Lane's two favorite words: uh-oh and more.
