Takeover

Hi guys! I've taken over Mom's computer! I love sitting at her desk when she isn't looking! Don't I look big! This is my serious business face. I bet this is what Dad looks like when he's at work.
And now, I thought I tell you about my favorites:
1. Eat! I LOVE to eat! Yesterday for lunch I ate a bowl of edamame, broccoli and pasta. Two corn tortillas, and lots of cheese. I washed it all down with my milk. Man, I love to eat. I'll eat just about anything, but I have to say I'm not a big fan of beef or chicken. Mom said she's afraid she turned me into a vegetarian!
2. Play! I love to play with all my toys. My favorite toys are the ones that make noise and sing songs. I usually have to take them to Mom to turn them on. I can't understand why she's always turning them off!
3. Murphy! I love to play with my puppy. We kiss each other and play tug of war. I always try to give her my food but Mom always tells me not to. I just want to help a sister out!
4. Daddy! I say Da Da all day long. I can't wait for him to come home at night. He is so much fun! He always makes funny noises, carries me way up high on his shoulders, and he lets me climb all over him. He's silly!
5. Talk on the phone. I love the phone! I have phone's that Mom says are for me, but I would much rather have her phone to play with. I love to talk to my Grandparents, they get so excited when they talk to me. My favorite things to say on the phone are hello, bye-bye, I love you, and I always have a kiss or two to give the phone.
I've got to go for now. Mom is going to catch me up here. Next time I'll tell you about the things I don't like!

A trip to...

the zoo?
Nope, it was the pet store, or two pet stores.
We were in search of a new pink pig for Murphy and entertainment for Lane.
Lane found her!
Now we can throw the old one away. Luckily Murph will never know the difference.

Sock Boy

Is it strange that my boy loves to wear our socks? He can wear Clint's as knee socks.
And mine fit perfectly on his arms

St. Louis Finale

This is my last post about St. Louis! My camera has been in the shop for the past few weeks and it's finally back so I'll happily be snapping away for some new blog material!

The last day of our trip we went to The Magic House. We all had a great time playing. Remember those things that were rectangular and had rows and rows of little silver needles? They had a huge wall of that stuff. We all put our faces in it. You can see Lane is the little face on the right.
Lane found a real ball pit, just as fun as a cardboard box of foam baseballs.
He also discovered what a real water table is like. He hated wearing the red smock, but it did keep him dry!Getting him away from that thing was not easy! To say he screamed bloody murder would be an understatement.
We went grocery shopping at the grocery store. Lane is quite the little shopper.
Lane found a piano to bang on. Check out his form, he has perfect posture! It even looks like he is reading sheet music.
Tyler, my BIL, tried leave my Mom, hanging up on a chair that you could raise using a pulley.

Unfortunately, it didn't work. Just kidding Grammy, what would we do without you?

St. Louis

If you guessed the fam went to St. Louis you were right! My parents took the whole family for a long weekend to see my cousin Rachel get married! We had so much fun!
Lane enjoyed a fancy dinner after the wedding. He was on his very best behavior.
We went to the zoo twice! We had so much fun the first morning we went back again!
Clint loved getting the "original" Willis family together for a family pic. Lane took a jeep for a spin in the Children's petting zoo.
He got to pet some guinea pigs and some goats. He had the best time in the play yard with the goats!

My darling husband had never been up in the Arch. So, we all got to go up. I thought going up in the arch once in my life was enough, apparently not. This was the girls + 1 pod going up (my Mom, Lane, Sister, & Me).
And the boys pod - 1 (my bro in law, Clint, & Dad).
The gang at the top of the arch. I was trying to do anything I could think of to keep from thinking I was stuck at the top of the arch! Isn't this the cutest picture of Lane?
He loved looking down at everything!
After the arch, we went to a Cardinals game.
A family pic from the top of the stadium.
And, by the 7th inning, Grampy had Lane put to sleep. Lane didn't take a nap two days in a row! He was one tired boy.
Since Lane's stroller wasn't occupied while he slept, my brother in law hopped in hoping for a ride. Not to be outdone, my sister went for a ride too. How sad is it that she actually fits! She's tiny!!
After the game Lane woke up and was ready to play. We went to a neat park near our hotel.
Lane climbed on the giant bunny. And got down to business. We had the best time playing in the water. First we got our feet wet.
And then we got all wet! Lane had the best time chasing after the dancing water.
Lane's clothes were all wet and it was a little cool to walk back to the hotel naked, so Lane borrowed Auntie's sweater. Yes, it does almost fit, told you she was tiny!
I'll post more of our last adventure of the trip later. I'm blogged out for now!

Two for Tuesday

Last night was a very exciting night for Lane because...
He got to see this pic of his Big Sis Rylee in her super cute dance outfit.
And he got to snuggle up with one of our very favorite blog readers, Elaine.
What a lucky boy!

Vacation Getaway

We left RR as soon as we could last Monday after the game for a week long getaway. We got into Bville around 1 am Monday night. Tuesday morning we hung out at home with my Dad, it was so fun to have him at home now that he is retired! When Clint finally got up, went out to lunch. The place we went to doesn't have high chairs so Grampy got to hold Lane the whole meal!
That night my parent's besties, Nina Ruth & Pa Pa Bob came over for dinner to see Lane. My parents both went in to get Lane before dinner. We thought it was strange that Lane needed both of them until they came outside. Lane was dressed from head to toe in western wear! Grammy and Grampy bought him boots, wrangler jeans, a pearl snap shirt, and a belt with a big longhorn buckle! For effect, they tied a red bandanna around his neck when they came out. I must say I have the cutest little cowboy ever!
We knew it was going to rain when we set the table outside for dinner. We thought it would be ok, and it was, but the rain blew in and made for an interesting meal. Lane got down to play in the water when he was finished.
After dinner we got Lane ready for bed and he insisted on wearing his new boots to bed with his pajamas. Just kidding, he just played in them, but I am sure those days aren't too far away.
Wednesday we all loaded up and to go on the vacation part of our trip.
To wet your whistle, I'll give you a hint as to where we went...I'll post more soon!

One Away

I cannot believe that today is the last game of the season. I always get a little teary eyed at the end of the season. We begin April with a little bit of both dread and excitement. We look forward to Clint doing what he loves all summer long, all while dreading the weeks of 11+ hour days. I absolutely love what Clint does, but I do miss him he's not home. We've pretty much camped out at the ballpark all summer long just to see Daddy!

Clint and Lane ran the bases one last time last night. The game lasted a whopping 15 innings! Seriously, what is up with that?
We ran into Spike at home plate and took our "annual" year end picture. I can say annual now that we have done it two years! I have already decided it will be a family tradition. As I thanked Spike for taking the picture with Lane he said it was like taking a picture with a fish. I'm going to try to get a better picture today, but if not, I think this one's pretty cute.

Pretty amazing to see the difference from last year's picture. I don't even want to think about what next year's picture will look like.
Now I'm really going to cry.
