Thursday we got to go to the Alamo Bowl! It was also my Mom's Birthday so we invited my P's to go along with us. We were all so excited to go and root for our Baylor Bears! Before the game we had tickets for a pregame dinner. We walked through the crowds of people to get to the pavilion to chow down.
After dinner we had Lane practice his Sic 'Em Bears. He did pretty good, I didn't notice the food on his wrist until I looked at the picture. Oops!Marlee ate only cookies at dinner. She was wired and ready to go.On the way into the game we posed for a couple quick pictures.
Tickets out and ready! We had great seats on the 40 yard line.Lane was so excited from all of the activities of the day that he decided to stretch out on Grammy and Grampys laps once we got settled. His little rest didn't last long. Everyone was up on their feet before the game started.
Lane didn't watch much of the game, but he watched a little.Who can resist this guy? RGIII!!!Lane and Marlee played together a little. And Marlee got pretty good at doing Sic 'Em. She has a great little bear paw. And she would not leave her shirt down! Girlfriend loves to let it all hang out!Marlee was pretty tight with her Dad for most of the game. She had a great time putting beads on him.Lane found a little space on the floor to hide out.Grampy loured Marlee over to his lap for a little while with a bottle of water.
Yeah!!! The Bears won!
Waiting for the balloons and confetti to drop.
Singing the Baylor Line! Can you tell Marlee was done with the game and ready to go?
The trophy! We had such a fun night!

Lane's Great Storm

Last night we all got together to celebrate my Mom's birthday. My Sister and BIL were here and we were visiting before we left for dinner. It had been awhile since we had heard the kids and someone commented on how nice it was that they were playing quietly together in another room. My Mom went to check on them and she yelled for us to come see the kids. We all hurried down the hall and found Lane and Marlee and the bedroom covered in white powder!
Lane found a bottle of Talcum powder and was having a great time puffing the bottle to send the powder into the air. Marlee's little face was pure white! She was completely covered in power and loving it.We were all laughing so hard that Lane got the bottle again and sent a huge puff of power into the air. They both thought the power was so much fun!Grammy told Lane his powder storm was a once in a lifetime event. He agreed but said Marlee doesn't know better. Sneaky guy.

Christmas Baking

Hey People we're gonna tell you about our baking day. This is a picture of Marlee from Thanksgiving, I love it so much I had to use it! Lane was excited about our plan for the day. He loves to help me cook and bake. He helped me with all of dinner last night and was ready to get going this morning.Hands floured up and ready to go.Marlee entertained us with her skills on the piano. She was busy busy while we worked.Superman, I mean Lane insisted on helping with every step of the process.Half of our rolls cut and ready to bake. Lane ran with Clint to get a haircut over his lunch so I finished the baking and frosting while they were gone. And after lunch my taste testers got to work.Marlee liked hers so much that she finished before Lane. And Lane wanted seconds when he finished his. Now when Clint gets home tonight we'll get our Cinnamon Rolls delivered to our neighbors, I can't stand the temptation of having them in the house!

Christmas Fun!

Tonight was RR's annual Christmas Festival downtown. We got there and went straight to Mrs. Claus' house for a cookie.
Marlee was so excited!
Then Lane got a really cute rocket from the ROTC kids.
It was pretty crowded so Lane spent most of the night up on Dad's shoulders.
Marlee saw lots of kids with balloons and every time she saw one she made sure to let us know she wanted one. We finally made it over to the area where the balloons were and she was a happy camper. She didn't make a peep the rest of the night!
Lane did a little prize wheel. And made a candy cane with a pipe cleaner and beads. He was very proud of it. When we got home he ran straight to the tree to hang it where he could see it.Lane and Marlee went with Dad to see the Elves workshop. The Elves left out bells for the kids to ring.Lane couldn't pass up a chance to get his face painted. He got a blue snowflake. And Miss Marlee leaned upside down to get a red nose like Rudolph. Before we left we stopped to warm up by the fire.
We had a great night! The only person we didn't get to see was Santa. He was there somewhere, we just never ran into him.
A close up of my little Rudolph on the way home.Lane said he was Snowy Flaker. And a couple of cute videos from the night...
Lane and Marlee ringing their bells in the Elves workshop.
The Express had a booth. Of course we had to stop to see our friends. We let Lane try to hit the ball thinking he would just swing at the ball for fun, we watched several big kids ahead of us swing and miss the ball. Lane got up and got a hit right away - it was in the wrong direction, but it was a hit.
We moved him to hit left handed and he got another hit. Little cutie.
