Back at It
We went back to the ballpark last night. I can't believe baseball season is already upon us. Last night the Express played an exhibition game against the Rangers. Clint put on an amazing show. Lots of great music, new games, and I love hearing that "announcer dude" voice. Baseball with two is a lot different than baseball with one and a baby. We made it through to the top of the 8th before little Miss Marlee just couldn't take anymore.
Laner was happy to be at the ballpark. He was so cute, Clint would announce the batter and put his picture up on the video board. Lane would ask what the board said and then repeat the name. I think he was trying to announce like Dad. He is a lot more curious about the game this year. Don't get me wrong, he's still really interested on the peanut shells on the ground, but I think he will pay some attention to the game this year. Maybe.
Lane wanted to take a picture of Marlee at the game.
And he was supposed to take one of both of us. Technically he did get both of us in the frame.
My most exciting moment of the game, I was really there for Clint not the game, was seeing my baseball crush Elvis Andrus from my 4th row seat. I made Lane pose for a picture to get this blurry picture of him. I didn't want anyone to think I was a fan taking pictures of players - no offense if you take pictures of players, it's just not my thing.

Feeding Sister
Lane loves to help me with Marlee. He is especially helpful when I feed her in the kitchen. He gets her bottle out of the fridge and gives it to her, gives her finger foods to nibble on, and tonight he wanted to help me feed her with her spoon.
He did so good! He would give her a bite and then eat whatever she left on the spoon. An added bonus!

Mr. Photographer
I was just adding some new pictures to my computer and saw these and had to post them. The other day Marlee was wearing a little romper my Mom got her and she asked me to send her a picture. As I was taking the Marlee's picture Lane ran to get his to take a picture too. So cute!
I love my babies!

Rodeo!
Tonight we got to spend the evening at the Austin Rodeo. We had a lot of fun and got to do and see lots of things while we were there.
Lane played on a super fun play set with an industrial sized tire swing.
I got to help Lane do some "work on the farm". He had to get an egg from a chicken, pick an apple from a tree, and find a potato to put in his little bushel basket. He was hilarious, he did not want to reach in to get the egg from the chicken. It was a stuffed animal, but it looked pretty real. Once he saw me do it he was ok with it.
Daddy and Lane had to pose in the cut outs. Wonder who's idea that was?
We visited the petting zoo. That place was crazy! The animals were everywhere and a little agressive! Last year they seemed to be sedated, that was not the case this year. One went up to Lane and tried to eat his shirt! Lane was ready to get the heck out of there!
We did stop for a quick picture as we left the petting zoo area. I think that was when a goat wet on my foot. SICK!!
Lane found some real live cowboys on the way over to the train.
Lane never passes up a chance to ride on a train.
Clint tried to coax Lane into petting a horse. He was willing to look but not touch.
We went to the arena to watch the rodeo. A rodeo clown found Lane and came to see him. I love the look on Lane's face. I heard he did eventually warm up to him, Marlee and I were out shopping so we missed it.
Marlee had a little cat nap while we ate and shopped. She was one happy girl once we got into our seat.
We all had a great time. Lane was asleep within minutes of getting into the car and Marlee was out once she had her bottle and cereal. I'm sure they're dreaming of horses and cowboys as I type.
Naptime
Marlee is slowly making the transition from her little hammock bed to her baby bed. This week I've been putting her in her big bed to take her nap. After I put her down yesterday I let her cry it out for a little bit and went to check on her when she got quiet. I found this...
I can't wait to see if she tries to hang her legs out again today.

Almost
I can't believe it's almost been a month since my last post! We went to OK for a week for Clint to announce a tournament and then my parents kept the kids the following week, and what do you know, I haven't posted a thing! I need to go back and post date some posts about our time in OK and Marlee's eighth month milestones.
As for current events: Marlee is almost crawling!!! She can get to whatever she wants by rolling, scooting, and reaching. But I can tell she really wants to crawl, she's just not sure about it. We have lots of fun getting her to try!

Matchie Matchy
Grammy made surprise matching square dance outfits for Lane and Marlee! Growing up I LOVED my little dresses with frilly slips under them. I especially loved getting to go to dances matching my Mom. Hopefully Marlee will love her froofy dresses as much as I did.

Lane and Marlee checking each other out. Lane thought he was so cool matching Grampy. He also matched Popeye, and extra bonus!

Marlee loves to flash a pretty smile for the camera.
Lane had the best time at the dance. While Grammy & Grampy and Nina & Popeye danced Lane ran in circles in the middle of the floor. He said he was dancing too. He was soooo cute!

During a break Lane went up front to help Grampy make announcements. He was a great little assistant.
They were so cute! I wasn't able to get a picture with Nina and Popeye, but just imagine. The six of them were a hit!
