Trick or Treat 2011

Tonight we dressed our sweet babies up as Trick or Treat. Marlee was a Strawberry (treat), she wasn't very happy about it at first and big brother Lane was a Magician (trick).

Marlee wasn't too sure about her costume and the whole trick or treating thing as we walked out the door to try to get some pictures.

Lane was all about it! We watched Frosty the Snowman this afternoon to refresh Lane on the Magician. He got it!

We trick or treated with our friends across the street. JJ was Darth Vader.

Lane and JJ rode in the wagon about 5 seconds and Lane decided it was more fun to pull it than to ride in it.

Lane would pull the wagon until he got close to a house with a light on and just drop the wagon handle in the middle of the street and take off running. I loved seeing his cape billowing behind him.Marlee hit a few houses with brother.

Notice the wagon unattended in the driveway. Lane was on a mission to get to the next front door.

Lane and JJ stopped to admire a giant Frankenstein. I think JJ was after him with his light saber.While Marlee waited for the big kids she went through her candy and decided she had to have a twix.Between houses Lane pulled sister in the wagon.

The boys found a carved pumpkin to inspect.Looking for more candy.We have the best neighbors. They all had special trick or treat candy for our kids. Two of them even had treats for Miss Murphy!Marlee was a happy girl after she got a few bites of candy.She begged our neighbor Brenda, or Beedah as the kids call her, for more candy.Love that little strawberry, even if I couldn't get her to look at me and smile for a picture.By the end of the night Lane was so tired he wouldn't even get out of the wagon to go to doors. He just sat in the wagon and looked through his candy.Two happy boys at the end of the night.And one happy girl. I think she decided her costume and trick or treating weren't so bad.One last picture. I wanted to try for just one picture of them together looking at the camera, this was the best we got!We had a super fun Halloween!

Muss Tree Trimming Service

Clint and Lane trimmed some branches off the trees in the front yard yesterday afternoon. Lane loved pulling the rope to bring the branches down.

When they were finished trimming, Lane ran to get his truck to load up the branches.He loves to carry stuff in the back of his gator and Lane thought branches were super cool.He delivered a lot of branches! With some help from Mom and Dad.

Tonight while we were at Target Lane reached over and kissed Marlee out of nowhere! And then he kissed her over and over. She would pucker up and he would pull her towards him. And then Lane realized that Marlee's cheeks are really fun to squish, and she let him. True love!

15 Month Well Check & A Tire Change

Miss Marlee had her 15 month well check today. She had a great check up today except for the 4 shots she had to get. She was not happy with our friend/ nurse when we left today, poor baby.Marlee weighed in at 28 lbs 8 ozs (95%), she is 32.50 inches tall (95%), and her head
measures 48 (95%). I would say she is a big girl! While we waited to see the Doctor Lane was able to raise the Dr's chair so he could sit up at the exam table. He told me he was "doing surgery". I have no idea where that came from, but I thought it was pretty smart of him.Tonight when Clint got home he had to change out a tire on his car. He took both the kids outside so I could get some things done in the house. You can see Marlee was not very interested. Lane on the other hand loved it!He loved it so much that he jacked his own truck up so he could check out the tires.He came in the house to get me so I could go out and video him. He was cute to watch until Murphy got in the way. She wanted to be on the blog too!

A Long Ride & A New Bed

We made the 8+ hour trip back home today. On our way out of town we saw two clowns getting gas. Clint had to hop out of the car for a quick picture.Murphy found a soft place to sleep. If Lane had known Murph was on his lap he would have had a fit. Lucky for Murph he was never the wiser.
When we finally got home tonight Lane got to check out his new big boy bed we set up for him while he was gone. He helped pick out the bedspread before he went to Grammy and Grampy's but I don't know if he really expected it to be in his room.

Marlee gave Lane's big boy bed her seal of approval! Clint got Lane into bed while I got Marlee ready for bed. Lane tried sleeping like a big boy,

but who are we kidding? Lane would much rather sleep with no pillow or covers. It will be interesting to see how I find him in the morning!

Dancin Fools

Tonight's our last night in Bartlesville. Grammy and Grampy had a square dance so we stopped by to say hello. Lane loves to go to their dances and likes to "square dance" with me at home. He loved dancing with Grammy in her foofy dress.

Marlee had so much fun! She is usually reserved so it was really fun to see her dance. All the people that weren't dancing were watching Marlee you can hear them laugh through the video.

Lane didn't have a partner while Grammy and Grampy danced so he "square danced" by himself.
