Western Days

 Every year we go to a Western Days event at an old little western town nearby.  This year Marlee got into the spirit of things and wore an old pair of Lane's boots.  She was too cute!

We went out and had lunch, walked around a little and found a place in the shade to wait for the rodeo to begin. 

 Marlee and Elizabeth decided it was nap time.  We spent most of the rodeo under the bleachers in the shade. 

 Lane loved watching the cowboys and cowgirls.  He fit right in!

 We snuck away from the show for a bit to ride the horses.  It's one of Lane and Marlee's favorite things to do!

 A great time was had by all!

Walk A Thon 2013

Every year Lane's school has a walk a thon to raise money for the school.  This year Lane was able to raise over $200 in pledges!  We are so proud of him and so happy to be a part of such a great school!

 Lane and all of his buddies were ready to get going!  It is so fun to see all of the kids in their Wayside shirts.

 Clint lucked into water gun duty!  The day we did the walk a thon was super hot!  A few Dads had water guns to cool the kids off.  Isn't Clint's little assistant adorable!

Uncle Tom

Uncle Tom came to visit us for his Birthday!  We had a great couple days having him visit.  We loved getting to have him over for his birthday dinner! 

 I love this picture!  Uncle Tom is either doing mind tricks on the kids or saying move away from my cake!

Ballerina Marlee

Miss Marlee is taking ballet this Fall! She will have class once a week on Mondays.  She is required to wear a blue leotard and pink tights and must wear street clothes over her ballet clothes. 

She had quite an entourage for her first class.  Daddy, Aunt Sarah, and Mommy went to watch.  We were probably as excited as she was.

When it was finally time for class to begin Marlee went for it!  First all the girls did some work on the bar.  Marlee tried to follow along and then they did floor work.  Marlee was so into that she took three or four turns for all the other girls one.  She would sneak past her teacher and go and then come back and get in line to go again in her original place.  She was really cute and really funny!

Bruin Football

High School football started on Friday!  Lane's teacher has kids in High School so I think they talk about going to games quite a bit.  Thursday night before Lane went to bed he reminded me that he needed to wear his Bruin shirt to school.  On Friday morning he was ready to go to the game!  Finally, Friday night we went with Grammy and Grampy to the game, Daddy is announcing the games so he was already up there.

The kids all had fun.  They were busy all night!  The most exciting part of the game?  Talking to the bear everytime he walked by.

By the end of the 3rd quarter Lane was done.  He went over and put his head on Nina's lap.  She loved on him and before we knew it he was asleep standing up. 

Backyard Campout!

Clint and the big kids had a campout while this little cutie and I hung out inside!  I'm not sure what I'm going to do when I don't have a baby to keep inside during campouts?

 Lane and Clint camped out in the backyard in Round Rock, but this was Marlee's first time!

For whatever reason, I didn't get a picture of the kids in front of the tent once it was set up.  They did get it set up and read lots of books, played a bit, and went to bed.  I was a nervous wreck that one of the kids would wake up in the night and get lost in the backyard.  Clint was with them, so I wasn't that worried - but I made lots of trips out to check on everyone!

The last time I went out to check everyone I found Marlee off the air mattress right next to the tent door.  Clint and Lane were up on the air mattress. 

It was a great night for the camp out, except at about 5 am it started thundering and by 6 am it was pouring rain!  The campers somehow slept through the thunder.  A little after the rain started Clint came running in the kiddos, who thought the rain was super fun.  They all had a great time and are ready to campout in the yard again!
