Snow Day!

We had our first snow day!  We woke up to snow all over the ground and a text message from the school district saying "no school!"
Lane and Marlee could not wait to go outside and play.  Clint was able to be home so the kids got lots of play time with Dad!

Clint went to Grammy and Grampys to get the sled for a sled ride around the neighborhood.
Lane made me some beautiful snow angels.
This little cutie stayed inside with Momma.  We watched from the window.
We ran out for a quick minute to touch the snow.  I don't think she liked it!
Lane on the other hand, spent at least three hours out in the snow.  He loves it!

Elizabeth's 1!!!

Good Morning Birthday Girl!  Happy as usual!
Before her part started Elizabeth did some walking with her walker.
Elizabeth's party guests - Mimi & Pops, Grammy & Grampy,  Nina & Popeye, and us.
 Elizabeth had a fun lunch.
Got loved on by her big brother and sister.
 And got her first cupcake!

Elizabeth, being the third, has had lots of bites of treats from her brother and sister.  But, she has never had her very own cupcake!

We love our sweet girl so much!  She is the sweetest little thing.
Elizabeth got lots of fun toys!  She got a baby doll from Mimi and Pops that she hugged right away.
A fun shape sorter from her brother and sister.
 A new car!
This little owl, from Uncle Tom, is so soft.  Elizabeth loves to lay on it.
And she got so many other things.  She got an adorable outfit from Nina and Popeye, and a metal push car from Grammy and Grampy.

At the end of our party Mimi and Pops had to head back to Texas.  We got one more quick picture before they left!
I made some collages of Elizabeth's first year for her party.
I loved seeing so many memories from our first year with her at one time.

Mimi and Pops are Here!

It's the most wonderful time of the year!  And... Mimi and Pops are here for a visit - to celebrate Elizabeth's first birthday!
Mimi thought the kids needed their own mini Santa, so here he is!  The kids think he is super cool!
Pops brought lots of mini golden books.  The kids also think they are super cool, and love to have Pops read them to him.
We took Mimi and Pops out to Woolaroc to look at Christmas lights and see Santa.  Lane was the only one who was brave enough to sit on Santa's lap.
A group visit was the only way the girls would have anything to do with Santa.
Mimi and Pops with the Lane and Marlee.
 And Elizabeth.
After seeing Santa we went to the petting barn.
Elizabeth made friends with the Lama.  She was beautiful and they both seemed to like each other.
Elizabeth was so cute that I had to take a picture of her when we got home.  Tomorrow is her 1st birthday, I have no idea where the year has gone!

Happy Thanksgiving

We had a great Thanksgiving at my parent's this year.  Sarah and Tyler came down for the day we all had a great day together!
My Great Grandmother gave me a turkey leg on my first Thanksgiving, I was 5 months old.  Since then, we always give the newest baby a turkey leg on their first Thanksgiving.  This was Elizabeth's big day!!

She kinda liked it!

Lane's goofy face!  I love this cheesy smile he gives me.
Marlee was super happy too.   This is her "I'm happy" pose.
And Bella.  She found her place behind Tyler and hung out.  I think she was being given food back there.
Happy Thanksgiving!

The latest

Another collection of random pictures from around the house.
Elizabeth is a little snuggler.  She is definitely the baby of the family.  We still rock her to sleep every night!!  Sometimes she will even fall asleep on one of us as we hold her.  We love our snuggle time!
Marlee is our little night owl!  It isn't unusual for us to go up at 10 pm to check on her and find her up.  This night she was up in her rocker, covered with her blanket, reading her favorite book.
Marlee also loves jammies!  She would wear them all day, every day if I let her.
Clint has been traveling on weekends, doing College football games.  We miss having Dad around, but I enjoy doing special things with the kids when he is gone.  One of our favorite things to do is it to pick out a tv dinner and get a movie.
Lane gets to be the man of the house when Clint is gone.  He is a great helper, and is very responsible with his sisters.

Miss Elizabeth is almost a year old.  She is such a happy girl.  This is the sweet face I find every morning!
