There and Back

For the second trip in a row, Bartlesville, Oklahoma was blanketed with snow. This time - just over six inches, and this time - it all fell while we were there. It was amazing to see the snowfall, at least until I had to start shoveling it (see photos from Steph's last post). There is no doubt that Laners loves the snow. Um, at least until his gloves, pants and jacket are soaked. Snow = fun, uber-cold hands and bottom = so not fun.

During this trip, we also celebrated my (Clint) 35th birthday. This marks the start of the five-month period each year where I have a younger wife. However, Steph informed me that she will not be joining me on this venture into the mid-to-upper 30s. She is fine right where she is, age-wise.

The birthday celebration began that morning with a huge breakfast, followed with a mid-day nap, then an early dinner which included a new personal favorite (and that of Tonto, Pochohantas and Sacajewea), Indian Tacos. Althought I wonder how they deep-friend their bread and if they used seperate salad bowls. Food and sleep make for a great birthday. We capped the evening off with a game of Chicken Foot, dominos for the adacemically supperior. However, they let me play anyway.

Back at the ranch, Round Rock Ranch (our subdivision), Lane made the leap from the high chair to a booster seat at the table. Freedom, Independance and more leverage for throwing food on the floor. For our little boy, he has arrived. Heck, if he is going to eat as much a most adults, he might as well eat at the same table.
Well, I guess that is all for this entry.
