Happy Easter!
The Musslewhite's had a wonderful Easter weekend. We live such a blessed life.
Saturday morning Lane got up and joined me in bed. He was just too cute leaning up against the pillows. We didn't get to stay there long because we had to get up and around to go to the neighborhood Easter egg hunt.
Lane and Dad were raring to go to the hunt. Unfortunately, we just missed the egg hunt for Lane's age bracket.
Which was ok, because Lane got to see the Easter bunny. This was Lane's first time to ever see him. He wasn't too sure what to think, so he stayed close to Dad and gave him knucks.
A little neighbor boy shared some of the eggs he found with Lane. Lane just stood and watched all the activities holding one of his eggs. I think he looks like he is pondering the whole egg hunting thing.
Clint had to leave the hunt early so Lane and I walked home. Lane let me carry his basket home, but once we got into the drive he wanted his eggs and candy! He doesn't usually, or ever, have candy so he had a good time eating his piece of chocolate. He didn't quite get that if you don't eat it fast it melts in your hand. He was one chocolaty mess when he was done with his candy.
This morning we all went to church and came home to have a delicious lunch! I was excited to host my first official holiday meal, with real holiday food. We invited some of our good friends who brought some amazing side dishes and chowed down!
I made Clint take a picture of my plate before I started eating. I'm not looking forward to going to the Doctor next week to see how much weight I've gained.
Lane enjoyed his meal too! He was such a happy boy throughout lunch. He just sat and jibber jabbered and ate, happy as he could be.
After lunch the kiddos got to hunt eggs. They were all so excited to finally be outside, that is the best picture I could get of the three of them. Camden and Emma filled their baskets and helped Lane find eggs. Without them, I don't know if he would have known what to do.
Checking out the insides of the egg he found.
Once Lane was finished hunting eggs he unwrapped chocolate after chocolate. I actually think he had more fun tearing the foil wrappers off the candy than actually eating it. I found myself eating several pieces of candy that Lane left me holding after he had the wrappers off, and you know chocolate melts fast if you don't eat it!
