This sweet little boy was sick all night last night. We went to the game as usual, he was fine. He enjoyed the 7
th inning stretch, someone even gave him a ball that he played with and then all the sudden in the top of the 8
th he started crying
uncontrollably. He wanted me to hold him, so I did, but he couldn't quit crying. Then, in the top of the 9
th he started gagging. I was afraid he would throw up so we got the heck out of the stands. I am sure I will have do deal with it before long, but last night I was not ready for my first "my child just threw up in public" experience. We had taken Clint to work that day so I called him and asked him to come down so we could leave as soon as the game was over. Bless his heart, he came running down to meet us at the gate. We decided to have the
EMT's check him before we left the stadium. Of course he perked up so we thought maybe he had just gotten too hot. On the way home my sweet boy puked all over himself and his
carseat over and over again. I was so thankful that Clint was there to drive while I tried to soothe Lane.

We got home cleaned Lane and his
carseat up while Miss Marlee patiently, or not so patiently waited to be fed. Dad fed her while she did her little old lady impersonation.

She kept pulling her cheeks, which pulled her eyes. You can see her still pulling her right cheek in this pic. She's just like her brother already, anything for a laugh.

So, after a long night, Lane, Marlee and I have had a mellow day. Lane caught up on some reading.

Watched some
tv while munching on saltine crackers and sipping
pedialite.

And, played around on his computer.

All while Marlee slept. I can't believe I'm saying this, but I'm bored! I've cleaned and washed everything I can think of. I hope my dude feels better tomorrow!
I hope Lane feels better soon. I'm counting on a date with him Wednesday!
ReplyDeleteSteph that stinks. I am so sorry. Thank goodness Clint was there to help. You are such a trooper making so many games! I am very impressed!
