...And She's Over!

Tonight was a big night! Miss MGM rolled over from her back to her tummy three times! Clint and I put her on her playmat to play tonight while we watched a show from our majorly overloaded DVR. I could hear Marlee pulling on her toys, but besides that she was really quite. I looked down to check on her and not five minutes later when Clint looked down, she was over on her tummy!
I ran to get my camera while Clint put her on her back again. I just had to wait a minute before she did it again! It was so exciting to have Clint here with us to see it! Too bad Hubba was asleep, he would have been so proud of his baby sister.
I looked it up on Lane's daily calendar, he was a few days over 15 weeks when he rolled over for the first time, and now Marlee is a few days over 16 weeks. Way to go Marlee! We are so proud of you!!

Sisterly Love

Tonight we went out for a little treat, Murph got to go along. Marlee was covered up with a nice warm blanket and Miss Murph just couldn't resist cuddling.
She actually climbed right into Marlee's carseat.
Two sweet girls.

Choo Choo

Saturday we went for a day long train ride! We took Grammy and Grampy along for the fun. The ride was 2 1/2 hours each way with a couple hour layover for lunch and a little shopping in Burnet. Lane loves trains and was so excited to be on the train! We passed a couple of trains on our trip. We'd never been so close to a train before!Marlee has started sucking her two fingers just like brother!
They both enjoyed a good part of our ride with their fingers in their mouths.
It was a fun day for all!
Everyone was worn out on our way home. Grampy and Marlee took a little cat nap together.
While we were on the train we learned all about the train whistle, how many whistles and the lenght of them all mean different things. This is Lane's impersonation of the train whistle. It cracks us up every time.

Happy Girl

Marlee is laughing! Friday I decided that I just had to get her to laugh. She smiles all the time, but never laughed. I worked and worked on her Friday to no avail. Finally, late Friday afternoon I got a courtesy laugh - a tiny giggle. Then, Saturday she for me at Dinner and laughed for Dad at Bedtime. Sunday she laughed at Brother while he did a dance for us, and now he's addicted to trying to get her to laugh too!

She won't laugh at just anything, it has to be something she really thinks is funny. Her Grammy says she gets that from her. I think now that she has laughed she laughs a little more easily but at any rate, we will do anything for a laugh!

Singing & Bouncing

Today was another big day. Miss Marlee Grace finally got to play in the bouncer! She's been eyeing it since we got it out of the attic about a week ago. She did great in it, I even almost got a picture of her smiling. She really liked the color wheel and the lights below the little hanging animals. She played while Lane played with his activity table next to her. He played the little piano keys and told me he was singing. He didn't sing any words just made noise. It was really cute. Oh, and in between his "songs" he would get up and give the bouncer a push to get the music going for Marlee.
I got a video of the two of them in action. I must warn you -It's over two minutes, and pretty uneventful, but it's history in the making! I will tell you if you make it to the end you'll see what Murph does all day.

CoEd Bathing

Last night the whole fam crammed into the bathroom for our first ever brother - sister bath! I hyped it up all day long so by the time bathtime came Lane was ready!
After both kiddos has been soaped up Lane decided that Marlee's little tub looked like more fun. He climbed in and decided to help rinse Marlee off.
He loves to help, bless little Marlee. With all of brother's "help" she's going to be one tough little girl.

Shortly after we got this video, Lane reached for the tube of soap behind Marlee and wouldn't you know it he slipped right on top of her. She now has a sweet little scratch to show for her first bath with Brother. She's a trooper!

Movin' on Up

The day Marlee Grace turned three Months old she officially moved out of Mom and Dad's bathroom. Poor girl was so ready to get out on her own she couldn't stand it any longer. I would have kept her there until she was 18 at least, I had plans to take out the garden tub to put in a bed for her. Too bad for me, her Dad wouldn't hear of it.
We actually tried to move her out the night before. I put her in her big bed, she only lasted a couple hours. She cried out every hour and the second time she was not going back in that bed! She came back down to her little bed and was as happy as a clam.
The next night we moved her little bed up to her room and that did the trick. She slept through the night like a champ.
We are on night 4 of Marlee being in her room. Marlee now fusses at night to let us know she is ready to go up to her room. We glide in her glider, read a book, and she is ready to put herself to sleep! She is such a sweet little thing. I can't take my eyes off of her, even if I have to look at her through the monitor. And how cute is this? The other afternoon I found bear sitting in Marlee's swing wrapped in a blanket. Little Lane wanted to make sure Bear was happy! I called him in to take a picture with Bear just the way I found him. He is such a sweet little guy to take such good care of Bear!
